Last lights

You know some people say that when you run out of ideas on what to blog, you start to write about what is seemingly mundane. But before you write this post off (no pun intended), take a minute to scan through what we have to say.

For us the whole centrality of blogging is around two things. Yes just two:

  • Journeys and Memories
  • Interaction, with people around the world

The source of our blog posts can come from travels, excursions, adventures or explorations. It definitely comes from family, friends and your wider social circles too (aka our newsletter). So one should not neglect them. We have said that it is important to cherish what you have, for time is but the only commodity in life that cannot be stored for later use. You can try to save time, maximize the use of time or work against time. But there is no bank account, no cookie jar that can store it! Or perhaps we are wrong about that? Can you “catch” a specific moment of time and store it?

So what is this post about?

Why memories of course!

Of what you may ask? Is it mundane? Nooo. It’s memories of the beautiful sunsets that Mel & Suan shared, while on our journeys across the spinning top that revolves around the star we call the Sun. Snapshots of time, stored away eternally we hope.

Tell us what sunsets have you enjoyed together with your loved ones?

Author: Mel & Suan

Mel works his day job for a living, but lives for antiquities, history and geography at all other times. He enjoys writing and thought sharing and obviously traveling. Suan is a homey person, who like girlie stuff such as cross stitching etc. Enjoys shopping & modeling for Mel. What a match!

  1. Ohh wow I am addicted to sunsets, I never get enough of it. I love your pictures. They capture pretty good the spirit of a sunset🌅 . And I totally agree, a blog is a place to share magical moments and experiences!

  2. I’m a sucker for sunsets… and the sky, clouds, rain… nature in general. If I could wake up early, I’d be taking in photos of sunrises and appreciating them. I have so many pics of sky, clouds and sunsets, I wonder if I will find a venue or opportunity or reason to show them off. Or maybe, they really are just for me.
Your photos and memories are awesome. I do think we should share them with each other. It makes us more real with each other. 🙂

      1. That’s an idea. 🙂 Thank you. I will have to do some admin work and sort out my electronic images filing system. Lol! I seem to change how I file all the time. I am now on annual folders, some with sub-folders, except for Travel pictures which are filed per place, but I think I should save based on category or occasion. How do you save your images?

  3. I mostly enjoy sunsets with my husband while we are on vacation in Mexico ( Puerto Vallarta). I will blog about PV after I finish talking about la Cruz. Recently I watched sunset in USA .. but it was not as warm as in Mexico…

  4. The best sunsets I’ve seen have not been at any far-flung locations. It’s been when I have peaceful moments in my bedroom and stare out the bedroom at the deep streaks of pink and gold painted across the sky in the wake of a sinking sun, and feel grateful for the glory of nature and just being where I am 🙂 It really reminds me of the little beauties of life and the things we can be grateful for.

  5. Beautiful sunsets! Where was the most beautiful sunset that you’ve experienced? As for Jesci and I, I would say that our most beautiful sunset experience was when we were on our recent cruise in the Caribbean Sea. It was absolutely gorgeous and a memory that we will never forget!
