Happiest place on earth, Euro style

No prizes for guessing where the happiest place on earth is.

Eh, you don’t know?

Even if you don’t, let us remind you. It’s got to be most children’s favourite because it has something to do with a pair of mice! Yes we are talking about Disneyland. A place where even adults can let down their hair and become children again. Well, we will always be a child in someone’s eyes (mom and dad, here’s looking at you!).

Euro Disney was the first time we headed to the happy place that goes beyond our comfort zone. That is, it “strayed” into an area that we thought to be something we might not enjoy. What was that we hear you ask? It is the supposition that when we are in Euro Disney, everything will be in French. Being awesomely “fluent” with French, we thought we would be like lost kittens…or worse, illiterate blokes!

Surprise!!

Everything went so well, that we laughed along with the adults and children as the Disney associates dispensed Disney magic dust. In French of course. We even had children translate for us too! LOL. Because,

When you are in the happiest place on earth, no boundaries of language or culture will separate visitors that come from all over the world (Europe in this case). We are all there for the same thing – to be children once again and that all our worldly adult troubles and challenges could be set aside for at least a few hours. Utopian? Yep. Dreamy? Definitely.

Here’s to reminiscing our days at the happiest place IN Europe we think.

Would you join in and become a child again?

  1. Ooh,I love Disneyland. Next Disney for us is this one – Euro Disney. I did love, love Anaheim. My favorite part is “Kiss Good Night”. I’m a dreamer. 😄 We must still try Florida, too. Disney Hong Kong was okay.

  2. Having kids, we made the trip to California to go to Disneyland. My boys were 6 and 8. We went back another time ( more or less 9 years later). I enjoyed better my first time and I think it was also more fun for them when they were little. In California they also have a LEGOLAND and we did it also. Never been to Disney world because I never been to Florida.

  3. Amusingly enough, Khruschev was once denied entry to Disneyland when he visited the United States! Indeed, perhaps everyone wants to enjoy a little bit of a childhood utopia. Even politicians XD

      1. And, of course, Kim Jong-nam (Kim Jong un’s half brother) feel out of favour in North Korea because of his attempt to visit Disneyland Japan — ultimately, along with other ‘indiscretions’, leading to his assassination last week …
