Undiscovered Mexico

As we wrote in a previous post, Mexico is a definite journey we’d make on the top of our bucket list. Even as we write, budgeting is underway to determine if we have the means both monetary-wise and time to make this long journey.

It does not help that we have now found yet more things to do in Mexico from reading articles such as this. Swimming, well floating in the mangroves sounds like fun! Hopefully it is not mosquito paradise that Suan detests…

The thing is – when people think of Mexico, its either the ancient pyramids of bloodthirsry gore or the beautiful beaches along the Yucatan. We probably lean to the former, but the then latter is also enticing! And to think we probably can only cobble out just shy of over 2 weeks for this journey…how we really wish we can YOLO and drop everything!

To add fat to the fire, Cuba is opening up and practically next door to Mexico. How can we skip Havana before it changes completely and forever?

So this will be the focus for 2017 and a resolution to be kept.

If need be we will set aside Petra for a year and go for broke with Mexico and Cuba. Target : April/May timeframe before hurricane season commences.
