Would Brexit lead us not to travel to the UK?

You know on this blog we do not delve into politics. That is reserved for the clowns. And this year clown school must be especially proud. Afterall, there are so many of them gunning for the highest political offices of their respective lands. The alumni that probably includes Bozo must be really excited…can you imagine the chatter?

So it is with the Brexit thing. There is so much talk spilling over to the point of scaremongering. Its a vote by a sovereign people, so I’d say let’s just respect it. Honestly does this influence our decisions on traveling to the UK? Heck no.

In fact if people were to decide to travel there less, the more I’d like to go. For one, I would love not to have the crowds photo bombing my camera shots. As far as the article I quoted goes, the UK suffers from a “deficit” of tourists – ie more Brits leave for holidays then us foreigners going in. So if the pound got weaker…you can do the math. Which is not exactly a bad thing for UK tourism…

If the UK stays and economy declines with the rest of the EU as the “outs” contends, we (ie Mel and Suan) will still come out ahead. The Pound along with the Euro drops. I cannot see how we do not win both ways. Head I win, tails you lose.

Either way, we are now watching how much cheaper it can get for us to make that stopover in London.
